Cardian Matsu
This is probably my favorite qualchan. album hands down. There’s always been this mixtape type feel to their works in the early 2010s, and “vera’s dream.” is no different. There’s sort of a similar approach to “zazen.” here, but with a more eerie, disturbingly serene feel draped over top.
Ambient loops paired with sickly, anxious intermissions that evoke a feeling of listlessness, of being lost. The good and the bad of the expanses of wildness, all packed into one short and sweet album.
